Why Community Groups?
We believe that God intended us to grow in the context of community. It's part of what it means to be created in His image. He is relational, so we are relational.
As the Body of Christ, we have a mutual responsibility to care for one another, to build one another up in our faith, to reach out to those around us with the Gospel, and to encourage one another toward Christ-likeness. But that really won’t happen if we only see each other before and after the service on Sunday morning.
Community Groups are the primary way we care for one another in authentic relationship, grow in our relationship with Christ through His Word, and reach out to our neighborhoods with the hope of the Gospel. It’s a natural expression of our value to be a community of love like the one described in
Groups are based on location, so you can connect with River Oaks families in your neighborhood! Community Groups are open to everyone and you can join at anytime. Feel free to contact David Knox about getting connected.
