Welcome!

We’re so glad you’re here! Thanks for taking some time to find out more about us. We are a community of ordinary people being transformed by the extraordinary love of Jesus Christ. We’d love to have you to join us on a Sunday morning for our time of worship together.

When are your services?

Our normal Sunday schedule is as follows:

  • 9:00 – 10:00 am: Corporate worship service (nursery provided)
  • 10:15 – 10:45 am: Adult Sunday school, Children’s Sunday school (Nursery, Pre-K, Grades K-2, Grades 3-5), and MS/HS student Sunday school
  • 11:00 – 12:00 pm: Corporate worship service (nursery provided). Children up to 3rd grade may attend our children’s church (ROCK) around halfway through the service.
  • (Note: Both morning worship services are identical.)

We also host “ROC On Wednesdays,” our midweek hub of ministry activities for all ages. Find out more.

What is the preaching like?

Receiving God’s Word is the central element of our worship life. Just as our bodies need food for physical health, so our souls need the consistent nourishment of God’s Word to strengthen, encourage, and equip us to live faithfully in a broken world. At River Oaks, you’ll find clear, compelling, Christ-centered, expositional teaching of God’s Word. Check out our recent sermon series.

What is the music like?

A main element of our corporate worship involves worshiping God with joy, reverence, and awe through song. We draw from a variety of sources with rich lyrical and musical content. Find out more about our music ministry (and listen to some samples).

What do I do with my kids?

Look for these signs to find your way!

Children are welcome to participate in the entire worship service. A nursery is available for both services. Children who are older than nursery age are invited to stay in the first part of the worship service, but around the mid-way point (prior to the sermon) children who are pre-K and grades K-3 are invited to our “children’s church” if they desire.

What if I’m new to church?

That’s great! We’d love to have you join us. We hope you’ll come as you are with your questions, your past hurts, your doubts, and your curiosity. The Church is a hospital for sinners, not a museum of saints. It is for the broken and weary, the disillusioned and depressed. It is for those who know they need both biblical information as well as real transformation. We want to be a safe place for you to ask honest questions, develop authentic caring relationships, and meet Jesus Christ.
