The Promise of Christ in Isaiah
Christmas time has come around again! For the young, expectations are no doubt high. For others who have seen a few Christmas seasons come and go, we may feel like it will be just another ordinary holiday filled with unmet expectations.
Our Advent theme this year is taken from the title of Charles Wesley’s beloved Christmas Hymn, “Come Thou Long Expected Jesus.” We will look at the expectations for Christmas promised in the Old Testament prophet Isaiah and see how Jesus Christ fulfills them all.
Plan to join us and invite a friend, relative or neighbor to see how Christ actually transcends our expectations in and through Christmas.
