Returning to Acaba Mundo
The Session and Missions Committee of River Oaks is excited to announce that we’ll be sending another short-term mission team to Acaba Mundo (in Belo Horizonte, Brazil), aiming for summer 2025. We had a fantastic experience in November 2024 through a four-person team, and we are excited to see how the Lord furthers our partnership with Isaiah 61 Ministries. (We have recently entered into a long-term support partnership with the ministry.)
Step One: Interest Meeting on Jan 19
Think you might be discerning the Lord’s call upon you to participate in the trip? We are having an interest meeting for anyone who feels called to:
- GO: Join us on the ground in Brazil
- SEND: Support the team through financial contributions
- PRAY: Lift up the team and the ministry
Details for the meeting:
- Sunday, January 19 from 12:15pm–1:30pm (directly after the 2nd service)
- Calvin/Knox room next to the Westminster Hall
- A free pizza lunch will be served

This will be a great opportunity to hear about the vision for the trip, see what God is doing in Brazil, and learn how you can be part of this exciting mission. Whether you feel led to go, send, or pray, there’s a way for everyone to be involved!
