Hear ye, hear ye! River Oaks Church is excited to host a medieval-themed Vacation Bible School from July 17-21, 2023. VBS will run daily from 9:00am-12:00pm.

The Gospel Project Unit 11: King David
This month, we’ll begin unit 11 from The Gospel Project to answer the question: What is grace? This unit explores how, “Grace is when God gives us something good even when we do not deserve it.” (Gospel Project, Unit 11)
Lessons this month include:
- April 2, 2023: (1 Samuel 16) – FAMILY SUNDAY (All families are encouraged to worship together at the 11 am service.)
- April 9, 2023: God Is Good to Judge Sin. (Genesis 18)
- April 16, 2023: God Chose David to Be king (1 Samuel 16)
- April 23, 2023: David Fought Goliath (1 Samuel 17)
Memory verse for April: This unit’s verse is Ephesians 1:7-8, “In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of our trespasses, according to the riches of his grace, which he lavished upon us, in all wisdom and insight.”
All families are encouraged to pick up a Unit Overview on the table in the children’s ministry hallway!
Roc On Wednesday and End-Of-Year Party!
Roc On Wednesday only meets 6 more times before summer break! Please mark your calendar for the following dates:
- April 5, 2023 – Dinner from 5-6pm, groups 6-7:30pm
- April 12, 2023 – Dinner from 5-6pm, groups 6-7:30pm
- April 19, 2023 – Dinner from 5-6pm, groups 6-7:30pm
- April 26, 2023 – Dinner from 5-6pm, groups 6-7:30pm
- May 3, 2023 – Dinner from 5-6pm, groups 6-7:30pm
- May 10, 2023 – 5:30 to 7:30pm, All groups combined end-of-year party!
The summer kick-off party will happen on May 10 and is a celebration for everyone! All groups (kids, youth, Women’s bible study and Men’s bible study) will join together for food and fun. A bounce house will be open for kids. Please note that parents will be responsible for attending with their children. This is not be a drop off event like Roc On Wed Kids!
It isn’t too late to join the fun if you’d like to attend for the first time!
