Vacation Bible School is June 20 – 24!
We’re going down under for an Australian-themed VBS this summer!
According to the Answers In Genesis website, “Zoomerang is a sanctity of life VBS in the land down under! Be prepared to experience the jaw-dropping beauty of the Great Barrier Reef, the arid temperature of outback afternoons, the architectural marvels of Australia’s modern cities, and the fascinating eucalyptus forest, home of the koalas.
At Zoomerang, the newest Answers VBS, you’ll marvel at the unforgettable wildlife, culture, and beauty of Australia while exploring the wonder and value of life, from the lives of preborn babies to eternal life in the kingdom of God. During this pro-life VBS, kids will discover that life is valuable. From the tiniest to the oldest, each person is made in the image of God—wonderfully designed to know him and live for him!”
Online registration for volunteers and students will open up in mid-March. Keep an eye out for that announcement and sign up quickly when things go live, space will be limited!
The Gospel Project: Finishing Strong
The Children’s Ministry with go through Unit 35 of the Gospel Project, called Finishing Strong. This unit explores how Paul’s life is evidence that God is faithful, and keeps His promises. This month, we’ll answer the question: What will happen for all Christians in the future? “One day, all Christians will see Jesus in His glory and live with Him forever.”
Lessons this month include:
- March 6, 2022: Paul‘s Shipwreck. (Acts 27-28) Paul trusted God to rescue him. (FAMILY SUNDAY!)
- March 13, 2021: Brothers in Christ. (Philemon) Paul wanted to make peace between his friends.
- March 20, 2022: Children of God. (1 John 2-3) People who are God’s children love one another.
- March 27, 2022: Defending the Faith. (Philippians 1:6) Jude said to remember what is true about Jesus.
Memory verse: This unit’s verse is Philippians 1:6, “And I am sure of this, that he who began a good work in you will bring it to completion at the day of Jesus Christ.“
Did you know? The Children’s Ministry has printed copies of the monthly overview available on the ROCK Blocks table to take home. This resource can be hung on the fridge or placed in a family bible to be used throughout the week to reinforce the Bible message learned at church!
Spring ROCK Blocks
The Children’s Ministry teachers have started to pass out ROCK blocks for the Spring of 2022. Children will receive ROCK blocks for memorizing Bible verses, treating other’s the way Jesus calls us to and participating in Sunday School/ROCK. Children can add their blocks to build a barnyard and earn the next ROCK Blocks party on May 15, 2022….A PETTING ZOO!
