Holiday Update
Are you feeling festive yet, River Oaks family? Somehow, even though it feels like 2020 has dragged on for ages, it is still a little surprising that the holidays are upon us. Maybe life feels a bit like in The Lion, the Witch & the Wardrobe, where it was always winter but never Christmas.
Team Appreciation Month
In the midst of this challenging time, we’ve been so blessed and impressed with the servant leadership of our children’s team since relaunching our ministries. So in the spirit of Thanksgiving, we’ve declared November, Children’s Team Appreciation Month! And we want to invite all the parents and kids to join us in expressing our thanks!
As you can see in the header, our kids did a great job this past week decorating a thank-you poster for the team. We also posted a few ideas for how you can join in and express appreciation for the teachers, but this is a just a start! We are excited to see what other creative ideas our families come up with.
Children’s Ministry Party
One exciting event we want you all to mark your calendars for is a Children’s Ministry Party on November 22nd, during the Sunday school hour. We have a lot to be grateful for and want to not only celebrate our amazing teachers, but also our amazing kids for dealing with the challenges of this year, as well as celebrate the good news of Christ’s coming as we anticipate the Advent season beginning the following week.
All teachers, parents and kids are invited, you won’t want to miss it!
