Growing in Mature Manhood
Our goal for the River Oaks Men’s Ministry is to provide opportunities for men to grow in wisdom as leaders in their home, workplaces, communities, and church. We also aim to create a place where men can build vital relationships with one another. Part of that vision plays out in our weekly midweek Men’s Bible study.
Details
We meet every Wednesday night as part of ROC On Wednesday. Food is available from 5:00-6:00pm in the fellowship hall (pay here), and we gather to study in the Community Center next to the church from 6:00pm to 7:30pm.
This fall we are covering a 2016 book by Richard Phillips, The Masculine Mandate: God’s Calling to Men. Amid cultural confusion about “toxic masculinity,” this book provides biblical wisdom about what it means to be a man after God’s own heart in today’s world.
Contact the church office to inquire about getting a book or use the link above to purchase one online. We will also have copies on-hand on Wednesday nights (pay the church for a copy here).
Our weekly study is co-led by Pastor Ben Shaw, Levi Bernston, Cade Horton, and others.
