What is Authentic Christianity?
It seems like everyone has a hot take on what Christianity is in the contemporary era. Is it a social club? A group of moral naysayers on the wrong side of history? A self-help tool for the weak-minded? A political agenda? How does one tell the difference between the “real thing” and counterfeits?
Paul’s epistle to the church at Thessalonica (Greece), written in roughly 50-52 AD, can help us answer these questions. It is a warm, vibrant letter to a thriving church in a pagan world. It paints a picture of what genuine Christianity is supposed to look like: striving together in community to be conformed to Jesus Christ.
Join us in January-March 2022 as we preach through this important letter.
