Celebrating 50!
November 19th is our senior pastor David Camera’s fiftieth birthday! In honor of that milestone and his tenth anniversary at our church, the people of River Oaks gathered this past Sunday night (the 17th) for a surprise birthday party! The room was packed with at least 150 people who came out to honor our pastor/shepherd/teacher for his faithful service among us.
This party had been months in the making, as many people were involved in the ruse to keep it secret until he arrived with his wife Gwen and his children Owen, Ethan, and Aria (all of whom were in on it too).
It was a great celebration. Here’s to many more fruitful years! We appreciate you!

A Thankful November Night
In addition to the surprise party, ROC held its 2019 “Thankful November Night.” This has been a yearly tradition where we gather together to sing songs, share food, and get our hearts/minds ready for the season of gratitude marked by Thanksgiving and Christmas.
Below are some photos and a video from our gathering. It was a very special time together to enjoy campfires, singing, and fellowship as a church community, young and old alike.
