Want to Join ROC’s team?
River Oaks Church is blessed with a delightful group of children and parents/guardians. We believe the church plays a vital role not in replacing but in coming alongside parents/guardians in the nurture of their children in the faith. We want to see young people encounter Christ in a real way from cradle to graduation and beyond. As part of our family ministry model, we are seeking to hire a full-time Director of Children’s Ministry & Office Administrator. Find Out More About ROC’s Children’s Ministry
We serve approximately 60 children (nursery through 5th grade), with ~30 present on average most Sunday mornings. Our team of teachers is roughly 40-50 adults and several youth apprentices. Programs on Sunday mornings include nursery (both services), Sunday school (10:15-10:45), and children’s church (which we call ROCK). Our curriculum is from the Gospel Project. We also coordinate other children’s activities at various points during the year, such as VBS. Long-term, as our facility upgrades are completed, we plan to introduce new ministries to children and families. Our children’s ministry regularly coordinates with our middle and high school youth ministries as well.
