Hope of Renewal
Isaiah begins his monumental prophecy by exposing and denouncing the utter sinfulness of God’s people living in Jerusalem. Their social system was devoid of justice, their religious system was an abomination to the Lord, their political system was oppressive, and the people themselves were riddled with the sin. Jerusalem is even described as Sodom and Gomorrah! Bad news indeed!
However, by the end of his great work, Isaiah describes God as rejoicing over Jerusalem and tells how Jerusalem has become a blessing to the whole world! How will God produce such a radical transformation of this city? Join us Sunday mornings to find out.
