Southall, London

Jeremy and Angel (and their children) are missionaries with Serge who will be entering a new mission field in Southall, UK in late 2019 or early 2020. Originally from Orlando, Jeremy and Angel first began serving in global missions in Uganda in 2015. They are in the process of raising support to redeploy to the UK, where they will serve in a largely Muslim, Hindu, and Sikh suburb of London.

Where They Serve

The family has been approved to join a mission team that partners with New Life Masih Ghar church in Southall. NLMG is a church that reflects the beauty of the South Asian community that calls Southall home. NLMG is a member church of the International Presbyterian Church. Angel and Jeremy have been asked to join the team to serve in the ministry of justice and mercy. By pursuing this “deed ministry,” they will be in a position to share the good news of Christ Jesus to a community that is largely unreached.

Additionally, they hope to work alongside other members of NLMG to develop and grow its diaconate ministry.

Southall is a densely populated suburb west of downtown with over 50,000 residents. It is primarily a South Asian district and is often known locally as “Little India.” As of the 2010s, it is estimated to have the lowest concentration of caucasian British residents in the entire country ( around 3% of the population).

About Serge

Serge (formerly known as World Harvest Mission) is an international missions agency based in Pennsylvania. It focuses on starting and supporting gospel-centered ministries around the world. It was founded in the 1970s by Dr. Jack Miller out of New Life Presbyterian Church.

The agency’s name is derived from the meaning of “serge” as “joining together rough edges to form a smooth seam.” Their motto is “Grace at the fray,” whereby they desire to see the gospel “go to the frayed edges of a tattered world, to reach souls, renew hearts, and restore communities.”
