Church Planting in Asia

This post is the start of a new monthly series where our Missions Committee will update you on the missionaries we are praying for as a church that month. October is Micah and Blair!

Micah and Blair, along with their four children, live in Southeast Asia where they are currently serving as church planters.

Micah is the assistant pastor in their church and also helps train local men to become pastors in their local church planting network. Blair ministers to the women of their local churches (and other missionary families) and cares for their children.

Micah has had several opportunities in the last month to share the gospel with coaches and friends of his children. Here are ways you can pray for them:

  • Pray for one of their friends who is resettling in the U.S. that he will adjust well and be able to attend seminary with the goal of ministering to his own people.
  • Pray for a smooth preparation for a new couple who will move to the city in 2024 to join the staff of their church.
  • Pray for guidance in counseling other individuals and couples who are considering internships in their host country.

Other Prayer Requests

  • Julian & Christiana Russell (Bahamas): pray for full healing for Julian’s fractured knee; praise for successful summer mission trips with 5 teams from the US; pray that Covenant Life Church will find a new place for corporate worship
  • Jeremy & Angel Martin (UK): praise for conversion of two new believers of Asian background; pray for upcoming elder/deacon training at their church in Southall
  • Hardy Reynolds (RUF @ UCF): pray for weekly meetings on campus, student leaders, and their new staff member

We also invite you to pray for the Native Pastor’s Gathering (coordinated by ROC friends Patrick & Regina Lennox).
