“Christ is Proclaimed, and in that I rejoice”
The apostle Paul visited the city of Philippi (in northern Greece) on his second missionary journey (roughly 50AD), and as a result of his preaching, the city was the first in Europe to receive the gospel! Several years later he wrote a letter to the church to encourage them in their faith, which we know simply as Philippians. He wrote the letter from prison, and it is a joyful call to the church to continue in its partnership with him in gospel ministry.
Join us in the first quarter of 2023 as we preach through this short but delightful letter. Come and be encouraged as God uses the words of the apostle to cultivate “gospel joy” in our individual lives and in the River Oaks community.
