ROC … but on Wednesdays!
ROC On Wednesday (beginning August 21) is our mid-week program that provides opportunities for fellowship and biblical teaching opportunities for all ages on Wednesday nights. ROC ON evenings kick-off with a dinner served from 5:00 – 6:00 p.m. followed by the different programs from 6:00 – 7:30 p.m.
Childcare Need! In order to serve all the nursery-aged children, we have two paid childcare positions that we are looking to fill. These positions would serve every week from 5:30-7:30p.m. Please contact jane@riveroakschurch.com if you are interested.
ROC ON Programs
- Dinner – Food (current menu) will be available in the Calvin and Knox room at 5:00 (as long as supplies last). First time free! After that, $5 per person and a maximum of $15 per family. You can pay online here.
- Ages 0-3 – Childcare will be provided in the church nursery (Monica) with qualified sitters.
- Ages 3-11 (Potty-trained PreK to 5th grade) – The ROC ON Kids program will start on the playground. Children need to sign in at the Children’s station in the Knox room and be dropped off at the playground by an adult. Children will join together for fellowship, worship, crafts, games and bible memorization. If your child wants to participate, please email Jane O’Dowd.
- Youth (ages 11-18, 6th grade to 12th grade) – The youth program will continue to meet as usual in the main worship center. Students are encouraged to grab their food and fellowship from 5:00 to 6:00. Youth will begin at 6:00pm, the same time as the other ministries. - Woman’s Bible Study – The women of ROC study will meet in the Spurgeon room (same as before). Please RSVP at the sign-up at the welcome counter or by email to womensteam@riveroakschurch.com.
- Men’s Bible Study – The men’s study will meet in the Community Center in the Cranmer room.
- Community Group – A new community group if is starting this Fall in the Wycliffe room. All are welcome to discuss sermon applications from the previous Sunday. For more information, please contact Tyler Billingsley.
