Register Now for Vacation Bible School!
Howdy, partners! Join us as we gallop through the wonder-filled West, where our friends at Wonder Junction will teach us about the grandest wonder of all—Jesus Christ. River Oaks Church is excited to host Vacation Bible School from July 21-25, 2025. VBS will run daily from 9:00am-12:00pm.
Children from pre-k to rising 5th graders are encouraged to participate as campers. Rising 6th to 12th graders are encouraged to register as volunteers. (School volunteer hours are available for high schoolers!) Also, we need many adult volunteers to make sure that everything runs smoothly! The nursery will be available for infants and toddlers of adult helpers.
We are asking for a $10 donation per camper ($25 maximum per family) to help offset the cost of the t-shirts, snacks and crafts if you are able!

Howdy, partners! Look to your left—do you see the cattle over yonder stampeding across the plains? Look to your right—can your eyes make out the sun-covered buttes of the desert? Look behind you—the brand-new transcontinental railroad is rumbling along the tracks! From the Badlands of South Dakota to the high peaks of the Rockies, there is wonder to be discovered everywhere we turn in the Old West!
Join us as we gallop through the wonder-filled West, where our friends at Wonder Junction will teach us about the grandest wonder of all—Jesus Christ. Each day, we’ll dig deeper into who this awe-inspiring Jesus is, answering questions such as:
• What amazing things happened surrounding Jesus’ birth?
• What was Jesus like as a child and teen?
• What wonders occurred during Jesus’ ministry years?
• How were Jesus’ death and resurrection like no other?
• What should we be doing as we wait for Jesus’ return?
VBS Prep Week
The week before VBS there will be lots of final prep work to do in order to help everything run smoothly during the program: preparing craft materials, decoration elements, etc.
Monday, July 14 – Friday, July 18 from 9am-3pm each day, the leadership team will be at River Oaks ready to equip anyone who wants to come help with jobs to do. Youth helpers, this week is an awesome opportunity for service hours!
Decoration Sunday
On July 20, immediately following the 2nd service (about 12:30pm for those of you who aren’t regular attenders of ROC), we will transform River Oaks into the wild, wild west! This is always a major undertaking so we’d love to have everyone helping out! Pizza lunch will be provided for helpers.
