Two New Classes
We are excited to offer two Sunday school options for August through October. One class will focus on a core aspect of Christian living (parenting), and the other will connect to the sermon series on Exodus.
Option 1: Kingdom Parents: Raising Kids Well for Every Stage (Worship center, taught by Cody Brobst and others). This study cover a variety of essential topics about raising children with a Christ-centered, kingdom-oriented outlook. Topics will include the goal of parenting, family discipleship, discipline, schooling, friendships/peer pressure, academics/athletics, navigating teenage years, preparing for adulthood, and much more. This series is not only for those who are currently parenting children, but also grandparents, caregivers, children’s workers/teachers, those who desire children in the future, and even “cool aunts” or “cool uncles.”
Option 2: Echoes of Exodus in the New Testament (Knox/Calvin room, taught by Greg Lanier and others). This study will tie-in to the sermon series on the book of Exodus and trace out how core aspects of this OT book–from the plagues to Passover to the blood of the covenant–shape the writings of the NT. The saving work of Jesus is a kind of “new exodus,” so we’ll be excited to explore this theme further.
