Pardon Our Dust!
River Oaks Church is officially under construction! While this is an exciting time for our kids, safety around the construction site is our top priority. Please help us enforce the following rules:
- Do not enter the construction site inside the fenced area.
- Absolutely NO climbing on the construction fences or equipment.
- We ask that children under 12 are always chaperoned by their parent outside the church building. (The playground will remain open and available, but parents must attend to their own children.)
- No ingress or egress through the side doors. They will remain locked during construction for your safety.
- On Sunday, there will be orange cones for the 3-5th grade Sunday school to travel safely to the office building. Please encourage your students to walk in the appropriate locations.
Fight the Good Fight of Faith
The Children’s Ministry with go through Unit 34 of the Gospel Project, called Fight the Good Fight. This unit explores how Paul preached the gospel even though he suffered often. Paul wanted believers to grown in faith and look forward to eternity with Jesus. This month, we’ll answer the question: What is sanctification? This unit explores how, “Sanctification is the process of becoming more like Jesus by the power of the Holy Spirit.”

Memory verse for January: This unit’s verse is 1 Timothy 6:12, “Fight the good fight of the faith. Take hold of the eternal life to which you were called and about which you made the good confession in the presence of many witnesses.”
What’s coming up at ROC ON?
ROC on Wednesday is in full swing! A family dinner is served weekly from 5:30 – 6 pm and the kid’s program is held from 6 – 7:30 pm.
As a reminder, the dinner costs $3 per person and the maximum per family is $10. This will be an honor system – no RSVP needed! We will always have enough food for everyone! You can bring exact cash at the door or prepay here: www.riveroakschurch.com/rocon
