Starting 2022 with A Firm Foundation
The Children’s Ministry will start the new year with Unit 33 of the Gospel Project, called A Firm Foundation. This month, we’ll answer the question: What is the Bible about? This unit explores through the old and new testament how, “The bible is the story of God’s plan to save people through Jesus.”
Lessons this month include:
- January 9, 2021: Paul’s Second Journey (Acts 15-18) Paul and Silas planted new churches. (FAMILY SUNDAY!) Click here for the parent resource.
- January 16, 2021: No Other Gospel. (Galatians 1-3) Believers are saved and grow in godliness by faith in Jesus. Click here for the parent resource.
- January 23, 2021: Paul Gave Hope (1-2 Thessalonians) Paul told the church to stand firm as we wait for Jesus’ return. Click here for the parent resource.
- January 30, 2021: Paul’s Third Journey (Acts 18-21) Paul used every opportunity to tell people about Jesus. Click here for the parent resource.
Memory verse for January: This unit’s verse is Acts 4:12, “And there is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved.”
What’s coming up at ROC ON?
ROC on Wednesday will kick off again on January 12. A family dinner will be served from 5:30 – 6 pm and the kid’s program will be from 6 – 7:30 pm.
As a reminder, the dinner costs $3 per person and the maximum per family is $10. This will be an honor system – no RSVP needed! We will always have enough food for everyone! You can bring exact cash at the door or prepay here: www.riveroakschurch.com/rocon
