Exciting Times
What a lot of exciting things we’ve had going on in Children’s Ministry this summer! And this is only the beginning as we look ahead and see God opening doors of opportunity for growth and ministry expansion in the coming year.
Don’t Call It A Comeback (or Do?)
Our first VBS back from COVID was an absolute home run. The amazing team that came together, the incredible turnout of youth volunteers, a full roster of students — it couldn’t have been better! We want to thank everyone again who made VBS possible to bless our community and proclaim nature and character the One True God to our children. A special thanks to our VBS co-director, Alicia Billingsley for the many hours of planning behind the scenes to be able to equip and direct the wonderful team we had.
Check out these photos from the week!
New Children’s Ministry Staff
In case you missed the announcement, we are very excited to welcome our new Director of Children’s Ministry, Jane O’Dowd, as well as our Children’s Ministry Associate, Amanda Knowles. They both bring a lot of skills and passion to the table, and we can’t wait to see what the Lord will do through them as the ministry continues to grow! You can read the full announcement HERE.
Gospel Project @ Home Resource
I’m excited to introduce you all to a new resource for families called The Gospel Project @ Home! Each week you’ll have a helpful guide for family worship you can use to review what your kids learned at church the previous Sunday (or you can use it to prepare for the coming Sunday, whatever seems more helpful for your family) including the Scripture passage, guide for unpacking the meaning of the passage together, the Bible story video, key passage memory verse, scripture memory song, family prayer prompts, and activity ideas! You’ll need to sign up for a free account on MinistryGrid to access the lessons but it’s quick, painless, and free.
