New Communicant’s Class!
Does your child profess faith? If so, they may be ready to take the step towards becoming full communing members at River Oaks.
River Oaks will be offering a Communicants Class during the Sunday school time (10:15-10:45 am) on July 14, 21, 28, and August 7 (in Pastor Camera’s office). For more info, please visit the web post here.
The Gospel Project: God’s Rescue Plan
The Children’s Ministry will start Unit 3 of The Gospel Project. According to the unit overview, this unit explores how, “God’s solution for sin, which He promised in Eden, became clearer when God made a covenant with Abraham. God promised to bring the Rescuer through Abraham’s family. This family was far from perfect and endured great adversity, but through it all, God remained faithful, revealing that nothing could stop His plan.” This month, we’ll answer the question: Who is in control of everything? God is in control of everything in heaven and on earth. Nothing is outside of God’s good plan.
Lessons this month include:
- July 3, 2022: Sin Spread to People. (Genesis 4-5) FAMILY SUNDAY!
- July 10, 2022: Melchizedek Blessed Abraham (Genesis 14; Hebrews 5; 7)
- July 17, 2022: God Provided Isaac. (Genesis 21–22)
- July 24, 2022: God Changed Jacob. (Genesis 25–33)
- July 31, 2022: God Had a Plan for Joseph. (Genesis 37–50)
Memory verse: This unit’s verse is Psalm 135: 5-6, “For I know that the Lord is great, and that our Lord is above all gods. Whatever the Lord pleases, he does, in heaven and on earth, in the seas and all deeps.”
All families are encouraged to pick up a Unit Overview on the table in the children’s ministry hallway!

Thanks to all of our wonderful volunteers and students who made VBS 2022 a great success! We enjoyed exploring Australia through games, food and crafts and learning about how Jesus values all life! We look forward to doing it all again in 2023!
