Is all vanity?

The book of Ecclesiastes begins with the infamous words, “Vanity of vanities, says the Preacher, vanity of vanities! All is vanity.” Such a statement makes us wonder why this book is even in the Bible. After all if God is the author of life, how can everything be vain?

However, in our studies we will see the purpose of Ecclesiastes is to help us reconcile belief in a good, loving Creator with the frustrating realities of life in a fallen world. Plan to join us on Sunday mornings through the Summer as we give attention to this challenging book.
