About the Men’s Study
We aim for the men of our church to be men of the Word–who pursue the wisdom of God revealed in Christ as they work in the world, care for others, defend the powerless, and love their families (regardless of life stage).
But it is easy to get overwhelmed when you open the Bible. It is a loooong book. And it is easy to be intimidated. One way to help overcome this hesitancy is to strengthen your theological muscles, so that you know a bit more about what you’re doing when you study the Bible. It’s like learning a thing or two about how cars work before tinkering under the hood.
To this end, our Bible study will be a guided walk through the Westminster Confession of Faith, the theological summary that our church (and denomination) believes is the clearest and best digest of what the Bible teaches. We will be using a concise reader’s guide by Chad van Dixhoorn to assist us.
Books will be available at the Welcome Center.
