You Are Invited!
We invite you to join us at River Oaks Church to celebrate the central event of history: the death and resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ!
Whether you have been a Christian for a long time or are exploring what Jesus is all about, you are welcome to join us. We will be having the following worship services and events.
Palm Sunday, March 24
- We will be holding our worship services at 9:00 and 11:00am
- Our sermon text will be Mark 12:13-34 (continuing our series on Mark’s Gospel)
- Children of all ages will be singing Hosanna during the 11am service
- Nursery and children’s Sunday school will be available
- Pastor Camera and Pastor Lanier will be hosting “Stump the Pastor” during adult Sunday school (10:15-10:45am)
Good Friday, March 29
- We will hold a special service from 7:00-8:00pm to honor the crucifixion of Jesus.
- The service will consist of a series of readings that trace the events of the passion week, celebration of the Lord’s Supper, and a homily on John 19:12-30
- We will leave the worship center in darkness and silence, as we reflect on the gravity of the death of the Son of God. But come back for the light breaking in on Easter Morning!
- Nursery will be available
Easter Sunday, March 31
- We will be holding three worship services
- Sunrise service at 7:00am on the church lawn immediately adjacent to the building (bring a blanket or lawn chair for seating)
- 9:00am and 11:00am worship services per usual
- The sermon text in all three services will be John 20:19-31, proclaiming the good news of the resurrection of Jesus Christ on the third day. He is risen! He is risen indeed!
- We will hold a special time of fellowship and refreshments in Westminster Hall during the Sunday school time (10:15-10:45am)
- Nursery will be available only for 9am and 11am
