In this post (just in time for Advent!), Greg explores the interesting ways in which Matthew quotes the OT in explaining the significance of Jesus’s birth. He focuses in particular on Matthew’s use of Micah, where the OT prophet anticipates the birth of a future king in Bethlehem.
