Iron Sharpening Iron

Scripture calls Christian men to build one another up. Why? Life presents innumerable challenges, and we need one another to grow in obedience to the Lord.

We are charged by Scripture to exhort one another with sound doctrine (Titus 2:1-8), to “spur one another to love and good deeds” (Heb 10:24), and to sharpen one another as iron sharpens iron (Prov 27:17).

The River Oaks men’s ministry creates contexts where we as men can disciple one another to help each other grow as faithful disciples of Christ.

What We Do

Weekly Bible Studies

We currently offer two Bible studies where we grow in our calling as men through prayer and the study of God’s Word together.

  • Wednesday evenings (6:00-7:30pm)
  • Cranmer Room (community center). Childcare is available as part of ROC On Wednesday. Sign up here!

Men’s Breakfast

On the first Saturday of each month, we get together to fellowship over breakfast and hear a testimony or Bible study from one of the men of the church. Check the Hub or the church calendar to find out when the next breakfast will be held.

Special Events

Throughout the year we host a variety of events aimed at helping the men of the church grow in their relationships with each other and with the Lord.

Visit the Hub to see upcoming events, or contact our Men’s team for details.
