The Refuge
Scott and Tiffany Kelley are engaged in mentoring refugee youth and young adults to understand and live out their God given purpose to make Jesus known. They do this through a ministry called The Refuge, based in north Georgia.
Scott and Tiffany began mentoring refugee kids in 2009. Here’s how Scott describes the experience:
What is amazing about that is we do not dress like the kids, talk like the kids, or listen to their music. We are older, not very hip and out of touch with their generational preferences. All we do is keep showing up, keep loving on them, and keep praying for them. That seems to be enough.

Scott also recently served as interim pastor at Crosswalk Community Church.
About The Refuge
The Refuge is a family-oriented ministry with a focus on helping refugees thrive in a relationship with Jesus through initiatives that dignify families, empower independence in community living, and encourage refugees to see their lives transformed by the gospel.
Their mission is to nurture families in experiencing abundant life in a growing relationship with Jesus. The Refuge fulfills this mission in three ways
- Mentoring refugees
- Training and sending refugees on mission
- Supporting refugee ministry overseas
