Recap of Missions Sunday

On November 13 we celebrated our annual “Missions Sunday” at ROC, where we devote the entire worship service, Sunday school, and a post-worship lunch to reflecting on God’s calling to build disciples among all the nations.

This year we focused on mission work to Japan. We were delighted to host Warren & Yukari Griffith (Mission to Japan) as well as hear from Frank Harrell (MTW Japan) via video. If you missed it, you can watch videos from each below!

Here are a few ways you can pray for mission work in Japan:

• Frank Harrell: weekly Bible study; more long-term churches planted in Osaka
• Warren & Yukari Griffith: recruiting students and host families for the winter and spring homestays

Other Prayer Requests

• Rachel (Halley) Johnson: pray for her ongoing work with YoungLife Capernaum, that children and youth with special needs (and their caregivers) might experience the power of Christ
• Ryan & Katie (Central Asia): pray for their transition to their new host country and all the logistical, cross-cultural, and other challenges they will face in the coming weeks
• Dale & Carmen Phillips (Paraclete): pray for strength and wisdom as they help encourage missionaries in the field
