Sunday Worship

• The Romans: The Obedience of Faith sermon series will continue with Rom 3:27-4:12. Preparation questions:
  • How does the gospel of grace bring an end to our “boasting”?
  • How do the OT passages quoted by Paul help unpack his point(s) about justification and faith?
• The children’s ministry will be studying Jonah, the reluctant prophet to Nineveh (Jonah 1-4)
• The Studies in Micah Sunday school series will continue with Micah 3

Coronavirus (COVID-19) Precautions

As with most churches, River Oaks leadership is monitoring the novel coronavirus outbreak to discern its impact on the ordinary operations of the church. As of now, we see no need to modify our service schedule or weekly activities. However, we would encourage all members to consider the following precautions:

• If you are currently sick (fever, respiratory symptoms, etc.), then we would encourage you to consider staying home from corporate worship. COVID-19 is spread most readily by those who are actively symptomatic. Moreover, with an already-repressed immune system, you are more likely to catch COVID-19.
• We would like to reiterate our well-child policy (found here): children who have been recently ill need to be symptom-free for at least 48 hours before they can attend nursery, Sunday school, or ROCK.
• If you have traveled out of the country recently, please consider staying home (since COVID-19 takes up to two weeks to present symptoms)
• We have conducted a thorough sanitization of all children’s areas and will do so weekly during the outbreak period
• Wash your hands!
