Fun for All Ages
It’s that time of year. The Pleciae nearctica (love-bugs) are finally calming down. The air is cool and crisp. The mid-afternoon sun dances playfully on the leaves. We start debating whether to switch on our A/C or just leave the windows open to catch the evening breeze…
Just kidding. It’s 90+ degrees from here on out. It’s humid and buggy. Florida is back. So…let’s have an all-church mid-summer (though it’s impossible to define “mid-summer” in Florida) picnic! A good ole’ fashioned potluck, hanging out as a church family while perspiring profusely!
The Details
- When: June 12th, from 5:30-7:30pm
- Where: Food will be served in the church building, where there will also be seating for those who need to cool down. Games and fellowship will take place outside on the lawn and playground.
- What: Bring a lawn chair, blanket, bug spray, and whatever else you think you might need to survive 2 hours in Florida
- Most importantly, food:
- The main course and beverages will be provided by ROC (RSVP below)
- Last name A-M: bring a side dish or heavy appetizer/starter
- Last name N-Z: bring a dessert
- Why: Because we want to hang out together! And swat bugs. And sweat. But mostly hang out.
- Bonus: Jeremy & Angel (missionaries that our church supports) will be joining us
